Promo codes apply to list price, not already discounted pricing, unless noted otherwise in the promotional details.
The total discounted amount will appear below the order total.
NOTE: if your account already receives a price discount based on your institution, then the system will compare the promo code discount, which is based on list price, against your normal discounted pricing, and choose the larger of the two discounts. It will not apply multiple discounts to the same order. If you enter a valid promo code and notice that the discount did not change, it is most likely because your institutional discounts are greater than the promotional discount.
